WEDDING BELLS.

PARTON—WELCH. A very pretty wedding wais solemnised in the Congregational Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Mr A. J. Barton, of Carterton, formerly of the Masterton firm of Messrs Beale and Barton, was married to Mrs S. M. Welch, daughter of Mrs Rayner, of Cornwall Street, Masterton. The (Shuroh hiad been, prettily decorated by a few lady friends of tihe bride, and ihe (service was fully choral. The bride, who was given away by Tier brother, Mr F. Cotter, was very prettily »attired in a dress of wedgewood blue cloth, with hat to match, -trimmed with black plumes. The bride also carried a beautiful shower bouquet; of white flowers. Mass Parton,' sister of the bridegroom, who was .bridesmaid, was dressed in a cream -semi-Empire gown, and she wore a green hat trimmed with golden berries. Mr Alf. Parton, brother of the 'bridegroom, was -best man. The Rev. A. Hodge performed the ceremony. The friends and relatives of the hride and (bridegroom were subsequently; entertained at ,a reception .at -the house of the bride's mother. The usual felicitous speeches were made, and tihe customary toasts honoured. Mr and Mrs Parton leave by this morning's train for Wellington . en, route for Wiangaiitti, the honeymoon wil Ire spent. Their future home will be at Carterton.

MOLTZEN—CORDON. A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the residence of the bride's •parents, Lansdowae, yesterday, when Mr C. H. Moltzen, of the Ma-sterton Post Office staff, and Miss MilEcent Perry Gbrdon, daughter of Mr J. W. Gordon, were united iii the bonds of matrimony. The bride was given away by her father. Miss Lily Gordon," iStijster of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, and Mr W. Horn blow was best man. The Rev. S. J. Serpell officiated. The wedding breakfast was held ait the house. The officiating minister proposed the toast of the bride -and bridegroom, ■ ■which was duly honoured, and th© other toasts usual at such ceremonies were also honoured-
