DR MAWSON'S EXPEDITION.

Received This Morning, 12.40 o'clock,

SYDNEY, June 13

A citizens' meeting was held in the Town Hall to further the objects of Dr. Mawson's Antarctic expedition.

The Lord Mayor presided, and the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor David, and others addressed the meeting. It was decided to start a fund, and to ask the newspapers to support the movement.

Professor stated that he hoped to get aid from the New Zealand Government.
