WELLINGTON. Last Night,
The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast : The barometer has risen steadily tcHday in the Southern districts, but another cyclonic disturbance has developed in the Far North. > Strong hortlherly minds and radn, with very low barometer, are reported northward of Auckland; but moderate to strong southerly winds prevail elsewhere, with clonals and rain in parts. .• .■ .'■■:■. Present indications are for southerly winds, increasing strong to a heavy gale in most parts of the country. Gold and stormy weather, and heavy rain generally, with snow, Aiij South. . Barometer' is due to rise, and is likely to be very, high in. three-or four days' time.'
