LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London House, under date 9th inst.: Frozen meat.— T Tho market is slightly better for mutton, and there is an increasing consumptive demand for lamb. The beef market is easier. j HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) •WELLINGTON, Last Night. The High Commissioner's report,' dated London, June 10th, says— The mutton market is steady. There is a moderate demand, and holders are firm. Canterbury 3|d, North Is-1 land 3fd. There is a good demand for j all lamb, and an endeavour amongst I holders to raise the price. Canterbury 4|d, other than Canterbury, 4|d. The stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light, in consequence of which prices are firmer. The supplies of American chilled beef are large. New I Zealand hindquarters, 3|d'J New Zealand forequarters, 2gd. The butter market is favourably affected on account of the dry weather. There is better demand for choicest brands. New Zealand butter 105s; Australian, 98s; Danish, Ills; Siberian, 98s. The cheese market has recovered, and there is better demand. The average price for the week for finest New Zealand per owt. is 58s. Hemp.—The market is steady, and prices are well maintained. There is a better demand for forward delivery. New Zealand good fair, on the spot, £2l per ton ; New Zealand fair grade, £2O per ton; forward shipments: New Zealand g<'od fair, £2l 10s per ton; fair grade, £2O 5s per ton; fair current Manila £2l per ton. The output for Manila for the week was 25,000 bales.
