DAVIS CUP CONTEST.
SOUTH AFRICA WITHDRAWN
(Received Last Night, 10.58 o'clock),
SYDNEY, June 12
In connection with the triangular tests, the secretary of the Tennis Association has received a cable from' South Africa, expressing regret that South Africa must withdraw from the Davis Cup contest. The withdrawal leaves England and America to play off, to determine which shall compete' against Australia in the challenge round, in Decemlber in New Zealand.
It apears as if England and America will play their tie in Australia, as America has definitely refused to go to London. ',-...:■,-, , ... . , .
