NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.

WELLINGTON. Last Nigbi. The Rev. D. C. Bates issued the following summary and forecast tonight :
The centre of a cyclone of small intensity has passed over Cook Strait and apparently modified. The front of an Antarctic disturbance, now due from a westward aspect, however, is still ominous. A southerly storm will probably follow in about 36 hours. This is likely to be preceded by a smart fall in the barometer in the South.
Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere. Strong northerly and westerly winds, with unsettled .weather, * but decided change, expected before Monday. Southerly @afe,- cold, stormy weather generally. Bain and snow on the highland® in the Sourish, with a rapidly rising .barometer.
