The President of the sMbori Land Board, which isat in iMasiterton yesterday, informed a represenianive of the Age that the .iolanse ..in . i,he %itr ive Land Act, 1909, which •for the disposal of Native laitds on a vote of a (majority* of "Native owners at a duly-convened meeting, was working admiraMy in Hawbe's Bay and other portions of the North JsHand. Under the provisions of the Act it is not now necessary to obtain the signatures of the whole of the owners before a title ca.u be granted. The Board may issue a title on tlie vote of a, map.'ity of those attending a meeting.
