NEW ZEALAND FQRECAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates issueS the following summary and forecast tonight : Westerly winds, srrongto gale,, have prevailed northward of New Ply toouth and Napier, but variable wind" elsewhere, moderate south-easterlies predominating. Rain and cloudy weather are reported in most parts of >-he country. The barometer is lowesiabout Cook Strait. Present indications are for rain and stormy weather generally, and southerly winds backing to northerly and increasing from strong to gale. A cyclonic disturbance is how passing via Cook Strait, and will probably be followed by a westerly storm area, with veiV low pressure in the (south. A southerly storm and much colder, weather is due about Saturday evening.
