MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton District High School Committee was held last evening, there being present: Messrs A. W. Chapman (in the chair), T. J. Thompson, A. Hendry, J. L. Hughes, E. Pragnell, G. Hyde, E. ,H. Waddington, and C. Perry.
The treasurer reported, as follows: —Balance at last meeting, £44 6s; receipt* since, £4l >|s; expenditure £64 IDs, leaving a credit balance at date of £2l lis.
Accounts, amounting to £33 Is 5d were passed for payment as funds permit.
The 1 committee appointed to go into the matter of obtaining a more commodious meeting room reported that Mr R. Brown's office could be used at a small cost.— The recommendation was adopted. The visiting committee reported tbat everything at the school was in a. very satisfciotory condition. Several necessary works were authorised. The committee recommended that a tank he obtained to burn rubbish at the school, and that .steps be taken to poison weeds on the paths. —The report was adopted. Messrs Pragnell, Chapman, i and Wflddiington were appointed the visiting members, for the month.
