PASSES OFF QUIETLY.
CONGiRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS.

LONDON, June 4. The birthday of His Majesty the King passed off quietly. ®
A family party was held at Buckingham Pa-Lace.
The celebrations were - world wide, and His Majesty received congratulations from Maoris, Cingalese, and other native subjects at the White City. A procession saluted the King's statue, and assembled in tiis Court of Honour, where the proc>?s.i.'Mi:sts danced and sang. His Majesty.the King thanked the Maoris for their message of homage, and greetings.
