Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their JoliiisonvdMe sale as follows : We'offered a good entry of bullocks and sheep, wlrich sold readily at ruling rates. Prime ox, £9 17s 6tl to £lO ss; lighter, £9 10s to.£9 15s; light, £9 -Is to £9 ss; vealers, 39s to £2 Is; good wethers, 17s; prime wethers, 14s 8d to 15s Id; good ewes, 14s 5d to 14s 6d; plain, 12s lOd to 13s; ewes in lamb, ! Bs.

LONDON WOOL SALES. Tho following report, dated London 26th inst., with reference to the condition of the market at the close of the last series of wool sales, has been received by tho Bank of New Zealand: —"Tho market has closed with good demand for all coarse crossbred. The market is strong for coarse crossbred. Prices are higher par to five per cent. Tho market is weak for fine crossbred ; prices are unchanged. The market is weak for medium crossbred; prices are lower par to five per cent. Total quality held over 39,000 bales, of which 20,000 bales are New Zealand. Current prices for North Island farmers' lots in average condition : Coarse crossbred 36-40's quality, 9d to 9£d per lb; medium crossbred 44-46's quality, lOd to lOjd per lb; fine crossbred 50's quality, lljd to 12id per lb. Current prices for South Island farmers' lots in average condition .-—lnferior merino, common 6064's quality, 9d to 9£d per lb; superior merino super, 60-64's quality, 12£ d to 13J-d per lb; half to quarter-bred 56's I quality, 12d to 13d per lb."

' PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —This sale was held in the Farmers' Association's yards, ' when wo had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. We quitted most of the sheep, although values were somewhat easier, there being limited enquiry. Cattle met a dull sale. Quotations: — Sound mouth ewes in lamb, 7s Id to 9s : 8d; empty ewes, 5s 6d to 6s 6d; cull . ewes, 2s lOd to 4s 8d; small lambs 3s j to 3s lOd; cows and calves, £3 13s to £3 17s; forward cows, £3 13s; small weaners, 10s. MASTERTON WOOL AND SKIN •SALES. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report: —We held our monthly sale of wool, j skins, hides and tallow to-day when | wo offered 100 bales of wool, 2800 | sheepskins and a quantity of hides s tallow and horsehair. There was i considerable interest taken in. the sale as it was the first in the Dominion at which the new season's crutchings were offered, and the attendance of buyers was larger than usual. The best line of crutchings realised 63d, at which price we sold 11 bales from Kahumingi station, Fcrnglen, A.G.P. Hapua, Cross Keys, and several other lines realised 6d. We quote: Crossbred fleece, oddments, 7d to 83d; good crutchings, Gd to Ggd; medium crutchings, <ssd to 5-fd; heavy and inferior, 5d to 5 5 d; locks and pieces, 3-Jd to 6d. Skins.—ln good demand at full rate: Fine crossbred, 7d to 7Jd ; good crossbreds, 63d to 63d ; hoggets, 6d to 6;id; lambs, 6d to 6 3 d; dead hoggets, 4d to 4§d; dead skins, 4d to 5 5 d. Hides.—No change : Ox and cow, 5d to s|d; calf, 5d to B£dTallow. —Casks in shipping order, £25 15s per ton; £2l 5s to £22 per ton. Horsehair.—ls 7Jd per lb. Rabbit skins, up to 9d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on yesterday's sale as follows:

As usual at this time of the year, and owing to there having been no sale last month, the offering, particularly of crutchings, was a fairly large one. There was a good attendance of representative buyers. Most of the lines offered elicited keen competition, and prices realised must be considered satisfactory. We quote— Wool: Crossbred, clean, G-Jd to 7gd; seedy, to GJcl; crutchings, to Gd; locks and pieces, to 4*d. Skins.—Crossbred, good, to 6-J-d ; inferior, to s}d ; J(. wools, 4d to Gd; lambs. 5d to GJd'; seedy, 4d. Hides.— Cow, 4gd to sf]d : calf, good, to 8d ; inferior. 4-kl; horse, Gs Gd ; ox. inferior, 4d. fallow met with very good competition, and sold at prices ranging from 18s to 255. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile .Agency Co., Ltd., have to report as follows:—We held our periodical sale yesterday of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow, and a most satisfactory clearance of the whole catalogue was the result. Buyers from "all quarters attended and competition was extremely keen for all sorts, late prices being well maintained, especially for crutchings. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Limited, report as follows:—We held our monthly sale of wool, sheepskins, and hides yesterday, when we offered 2 bales wool, 100 bags wool, 2500 sheepskins, and 150 hides and calfskins. Buyers were well represented from all parts, and bidding throughout the catalogue was very spirited, everything offered being disposed of at full market value. We report:—Wool: Fleece, 7Jd; lambs, 7£d; dead, crutchings, s£d to 6d; crutchings, seedy, 3Jd to i'id ; locks and pieces, 3gd; dead and inferior, s£d; black, 6d; locks, 4d. ; MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly stock sale at the Solway yards yesterday:—We submitted a fair average catalogue of sheep, embracing all classes. Stock all round met with a dull sale and very few sales were made under the hammer, and those at rates lower than those at recent markets. Best wethers failed to reach owners reserves. A few lots of small wethers made 10s ; forward ewes, 9s to 9s 6d ;no fats offered. In lambs, medium class ranged up to 7s 6d; small, 3s to ss. In ewes in lamb, no good class came forward. In cattle, light fat cows, £5 to £5 2s 6d; forward cows, 60s to 70s; guaranteed dairy cows, to £6 10s, small carvers, 15s.' Messrs Dalgety and Company Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in the Solway yards yesterday, when a small yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward and the sale was dull right throughout, hut we are pleased to report a good clearance, having sold all passod-in lots privately. Amongst our entry we had a line of 4 and 6-tooth store wethers, which brought 12s 9d. Other quotations are as follows: —Woolly lambs, 7s 8d to 8s 8d; fat and forward ewes, 10s 6d to 12s 2d ; fat lambs, to 12s 6d; old rams, to 10s 3d; £4 and 6-tooth wethers, to 12s 9d. Cattle:—Fat cows, £4 12s 6d to £5 12s 6d; fat heifers, £5 16s, £6, to £6 8s; spring cows, £4 2s 6d to £5; weaner heifers, 23s to 255; horses, 3 and 5 venr half draught fillies, £7, £B, £lO, and £ll.
