NATIVE LANDS.
Mr W. B. Matheson, of Eketalrana, moved a resolution at the Provincial Conference of the Farmers' Union at Woodviile yesterday, recommending to Parliament the scheme outlined recently by the Wairarapa Age for the solution of the Native land problem. The proposal, though simple enough, and admittedly practical, was deferred, as delegates preferred that the individual branches .should discuss the question before voting upon it. Singularly enough, a numiber of Labour leaders, in* the , Dominion approve the suggestion.
