Bates'issued the folI lowing summary and forecast tonight:— ( I Very changeable weather has been j most parts of the couaI try, with much fog, and rain in the southernmost'districts. Strong north- : erJy and westerly winds have prevailed, and the barometer has fallen in the south, but shown little movement in the North Island. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere. Strong westtcrly and northerly winds are probable generally, with cloudy weather and ; rain in most parts of the country.
