The New Zealand Loan and Mercan-. tile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London House: — Wool Sales.—3B,ooo bales wool held over, and 163,000 bales wool sold at wool sales; 69,000 bales for Contin-

ent; sales closed with good competition ; 2,000 bales taken for America. As compared with last sales closing rates prices are lower about par to 5 per cent for merino medium and inferior, fine scoured crossbred, fine greasy crossbred, medium and fine crossbred slipe, and medium greasy and scoured crossbred wool. As compared with last sales closing rates prices are about the same for coarse scoured crossbred and course crossbred slipe. As compared with last sales closing rates prices are higher about par to 5 per cent coarse crossbred greasy wool. Average current London value of the undernoted descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool: —Good merino 13£ d; medium merino, 11-Jd; inferor merino. 9|d : fine crossbred, 12£ d; medium crossbred. 10|d: coarse crossbred, (G's), 9£cl; (36's), 9d.
