Mr P. Selig, President of the New Zealand Trotting Association, whb is about to leave on a. health trip to Sydney, has been presented with a purse of 100 guineas from the Trotting Clubs throughout New Zealand, and also those racing clubs including trotting events on their programmes..
The Hon. C. Louisson, President of tb-e New Zealand Metropolitan. Club, who made the presentation, said Mr Selig had been President of the South Island Trotting Association! ever since its formation in 1899. That record spoke volumes for one who occupied such a responsible psdtdon where he was bound to be subject to a great deal of criticis >.. Besides that, Mr Selig had been P - sident of the New Zealand Trotti ; Conference for four years in succo.sion, so that he hiad been, able to obtain and retain the of the members. •
