THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES, j The cliange of programme drew; a large audience at the Foresters' Hall | last evening, when a particularly.! fine series of'pictures, was .shown. The dramas' were especially-- good. "A Woman's Wit" was a stirring Mexican story of treachery, love and adventure: Another drama of soulstirring interest and powerfully enacted was "An Eye for art Eye," •which -touched on many incident® in early history. "A Painful Debt" is a remarkably isibrong and interesting study, having pathetic situations which at once places it above •hlie ordinary run of pictures. "A Son of Old Glory" was a splendid drama which found much favour. A comedy of exceptional merit was ;One entitled' ;"R»maiice of Lazy K." which was full of funny situation® and daring cowboy horsemanship. "Gun Practice on a Dreadnought" \ividJy portrays the crews at practice, and gives a gorgeous disiplay: of" ; luminous:' skies,' and;, changing seas.Thoso of the farming community in this district who were present were no douhit most interested in a film depicting the great cattle show a-6 Bujenos Ayres,, in which the animals are reprodxiced lifesize, the clearness of the picture showing (them to perfection. A splendid collection of comics was presented, while the omer pictures were up ,to the finn'dS usual high standard. The programme will be repeated this evening, when another large audience should be attracted to the Foresters' Hall.
