DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
DAMAGE OVER £20,000

MELBOURNE, May 25
A fire started on the top floor c# Watson's Chambers in Flinder's Lane.
The flames spread,' gutting the third, fourth, and fifth floors, containing the offices of different firms. The damage is estimated at over £20,000. Considerable anxiety was felt for a time, as the building was in a densely packed area. FIREMEN'S DANGER. ' A NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE. (Received This Morning, 1.5 o'clock.) .> MELBOURNE, May 25. *. The firemen were in great danger, owing to the falling roofs and ceilings. The insurances include National (New Zealand) £2OOO.
