Bates issued the fol- J lowing sumaaaaxy and! forecast to- 1 night:— i '' Fine weather has prevailed except in the extreme north and south, where light showers have fallen, to-day. The (barometric pressure is declining Everywhere. to strong easterly winds hare predominated in the North Island, and northerly in the South. 'Present indications are for freshening northerly winds, increasing cloudiness and haze, preceding a change for j somewhat milder and more humid cpnI ditions generally. The barometer will ■ probably fall everywhere. i
