(Received Last Night, 9.25 o'clock.)
SYDNEY, May 24
At the inquest on the Batfterd family, who died from the effects of prussac acid, Mr Williamson appeared for the New Zealand relatives. Dr Palmer said that Basterd'.s brain, wia s the largest he had ever seen or known to be recorded. He was unable to . say whether such, would incline to a .tendency to insanity. If money was received from New Zealand,., and there was no cause for worry on that account, there was a strong suspicion of insanity.
Mrs' Bastard'B brother gave evidence to the effect that lie did not know deceased was short of money. A verdict that the deaths were caused by pruesic acid a/dministered by Segar and Evelyn Bastard was returned.
