AN APPEAL,FOR HELP.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Mr D. .McLaren, M.P., has received a letter from Mr Keir Hardie, appealing for funds for the relief of the miners who went on strike at Rhondda Valley, South Wales,. last Mr Hardie states that, as no settiemeait has been arrived at, and title dispute- may go on for some time, there is a good deal of suffering, and there are hundreds who are not in receipt of strike pay from the Uaiion. Relief funds have been opened up, and the committee has authorised Mr Hardie ta make an appeal to the mtiiifns of New Zealand, Australia and, South Africa on their, behalf.- Moneys may be* sent to Mr Hardie addressed to ; him' at the House of Commons. Mr; Mo* Laa-en has sent copies of the letter to Mr J. Gioyer, secretary of tihe N.Z. Federation, of Laibour, and l Mr Young, secretary of the Laibour Fed-. eration (Trades Labour Councils) asking them to appeal to the Unions affiliated to their Federations j for help. ]
