THE WAIRARAPA SEAT.
ITo The Editor, i
Sir, — 1 am. a subscriber to your paper, and just now, with ' others, am much interested in the conflict between Messrs Buchanan and Horu'sby for the .honour of representing us in Parliament. A week or so ago Mr Hornsby made a vigorous political attack on Mr Buchanan, which has since, been quietly and moat effectively com>batited by the latter gentleman. Personally I may say tlhat there are many points in Mr Buchanan's .reply ■whidb- call for explanation by Mr Homsiby. Butt) lo! and behold l . Some would-be improver, over the isignature of "Farmer," lias written to a local paper, apparently with" the idea of helping Mr Hornsv by, but making tilings much more obscure. Now, Sir, surely it does not require amy side issues such as this to divert the intelligence of the electors? Personally, I have voted for the Seddon Government, and twice for Mr Horns'by, and I would like to do so again. "Farmer" lias, however, put me thinking, and I aim in that horrible position, "undecided." Can you, Sir, suggest a remedy?— I am, etc.,
. SETTLER, Dalefield, May 22nd, 1911.
