Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonyilie sale on Wednesday:— The demand for beef was limited. The entry consisted of 'bullocks of good quality, and the prices ranged from £9 5s to £lO 15s. A good entry of sheep met a dragging sale, only a few lines of exceptional quality being competed for. Good •wethera made 18s 6d and 15s 7d; light wethers, 15s; good ewes, 14s lOd to xos 7d; medium ewes, 13s 5d (to 13s 6d; light ewes, 12s to 13a; half bred ewes, 14s to 15s; primo shorn lambs., 12s 9d to 13s Id; others 8s 7d to 9s ;i medium woolly lambs, lis 6d.

MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dfalgety and Co., Ltd., leport on their usual weekly sale held in the Solway Yards (Masterton) yesterday, 17th May. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— At our weeMy sale .'.t the Solway yards yesterday, .sheep came forward in fair average numbers. Any good isheep met with a ready sale at slightly improved rates, but all poor conditioned or aged sorts were hard to quit, although we made a clearance*. In fats only lambs were offered. We quote:— Forward ewes, according to condition, 7s 6d to 9s 3d; boilers, 3s 3d (to 4s 6d; fat lambs 10s 6d'; stores, medium 7s, -small 5s and 4s; ewes in lamb, 7s 6d to 10s; weaner oalves, 22s 6d.
