This afternoon a. great crowd assembled to witness- the laying of the foundation stone of the new Presbyterian Church by the Rev . John McKienzie, of ChristcMircJi. The building was designed by Messrs Salmond and Vaines, architects, Duisedin, and is to be built in brick. The ceremony was attended by the lcadr ing citizens and till the ministers of religion in the district. A large choir rendered an thein z, and Sunday school children pang hymns..
