A NOVEL PROPOSAL.
The Mariawatu A. and P. Association, with the object of strengthening its (position, has set up a committee to report upon the advisablenesis of allocating a certain number of seat® on. its committee to representatives of the Feilding, Woodville, Levin, Dannevirke, Pahiatua, Mta.ster.ton, and Wianganui Associations • Th® object of this .somewhat novel proposal is not difficult to seek. The Palmenston folk are anxious that their .show should ibe regarded as a Royal Show, and he subsidised by the State. The idea of a Royal Show is a. good one; but whether it should.,be permanent, or held in different centres every year, as is the case in the Old Country, is another miartter.
