APPEAL FOR FUNDS.

Lord Kitchener is appealing for £4OOO with which to oomplete the Anglican cathedral at Khartoum in order to place the British on a par wifh the Copts, Catholics, and Mohammedans. Otherwise, he says, the work will be stopped in three months. .:.. Twenty-four thousand pounds has already been, spent upon the Cathedral. >
