CABLEGRAMS.
The cablegrams from London are becoming intensely interesting. Philatelists will be delighted to know that new stamps are to be issued on Coronation Day. Humanity 'will bless Lord iCarrington for introducing a Bill into the House of Lordis to protect poultry from unnecessary suffering, though it wouid have been more to the point' hlad the Bill referred to the waifs and strays of London. Mr Lloyd George has told a deputation that the sugar tax is a burden on the poor, but he is unable to abolish it. The Duke of Oomnauglut and, various .other high personages have witnessed an, aeroplane demonstration. But, most important of all, Queen Mary has directed that her maids of honour shall always wear gowns that touch the ground, and that they mmist he and have high oollars!
