SYDNFA T , May 12
The Labour Council has decided to send a deputation to the Government, reguesting a Royal Commission on the cost of living. The speakers stated that the time had come for an enquiry as to why, as wages were increased by the Wages Boards, there was a corresponding rise in the price of commodities. The workers were being bled by the employers. The price of food and the limitations of rent should be fixed.
