ELECTORAL REPRESENTATION.
AUCKLAND, This Day
Mr James Allen, M.P., interviewed regarding representation, said h_expected the North would gain ax least three seats from t(he South as the result, of tihe census. In order that the South Mand may not go on losing seats, Mr All?n considers that after the next' election Parliament should legislate to provide that while no further reductions in the South shall take place, if an increase in population warrants it, increased representation may be given the North. This would entail an increase in the number of memibcrs of Parliament, but it would be the best solution of a, difficult problem.
