LANDING TO BE PREVENTED

LONDON, May 12

Reuter's Canea correspondent, reports that the decision to send a number of Cadis, or Judges to Crete has led to three thousand inhabitants of Canea assembling, and they have resolved to prevent them from landing, arguing that the appointment is oontrary to the Cretan constitution as recognised by the Powers. There have been no Cadis in Crete for eleven years.
