ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
NAPIER, Last Night
A womiaai named Emily Aitken, wife of a boarding-house keeper, jumped from the wharf at the breakwater last nighit, presumably with the intention of plunging into the sea. She fell, however, on a ledge of rocks., and was rescued by some wharf officials without having sustained any injuries beyond a thorough drenching by the sea water. The woman was arrested, and will appear before the Court to-mor-row.
