HEW ZEALAND FORECAST,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, Last Night,
The Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast:—
Cloudy and rainy weather has prevailed over the North Island, with strong south-easterly winds. The winds have been variable and the weather fair in the South. The barometer has risen in the far north, but fallen elsewhere.
Present indications are for cool, showery and changeable weather generally. The barometric pressure is very unsteady, rising temporarily iu tho north and falling in the South, but a further fall will probably precede a steady rise, due about Saturday evening. Moderate to strong and variable, but chiefly southerly and westerly winds, are anticipated in the near future.
