CONSTANTINOPLE, May 9. An excited debate took place in the I Chamber. ■ I The Minister, of the Interior stated that a former Grand Vizier had | granted the'explorers the right to excavate two passages, but permission for a third attempt, from within the sanctuary of the mosque of Omar, was refused. The explorers then corrupted the official*. Vnd violated the sanctuary. The baggage of the Englishmen was searched at Jaffa, but contained no proof of thefts. Captain Parker, interviewed, said all the antiquities found in Jerusalem were handed to the Turkish authorities.
