MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having their usual weekly sale in the Solway yards, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle, well above advertised numbers. There was a keen demand for all classes of sheep, and practically a total clearance was made. Cattle were slightly easier. Amongst the entry was Mr John Cross' annual draft of ewes from his Alfredton property, which brought up to 9s 6d. Quotations:—Fat and forward ewes, 8s 9d, 9s 3d, to 10s 9d; woolly lambs, 6s sd, 7s 8d to 9s 6d; shorn lambs, 8s 3d to 9s; ewes in lamb, 9t 4d to 9s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, lis to 12s. Cattle: Fat cows, £6 ss, £6 13s, to £6 17s 6d; forward cows, £3 lis to £4; mother-reared weaners, 35s to 38s 6d; bucket-reared calves, H3s.

PAHIA.TUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report as follows:—We offered a full yarding of both sheep and cattle to a good attendance of focal and outside buyers. There was an improved tone for all classes, and we made a large clearance, competition being strong throughout the Sale. The quality of the yarding in both sheep and cattle was well above the average of recent sales.
