NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Major-Gemeral Oodley reviewed the local Territorials to-night, and addressed, them. He said he was pleased with the material amd with the soldierly appearance of the men, and hoped that companies would b« in-creased to the full strength wtiitih the same stamp of men. He warned them that no man was a soldier who did not keep Ms arms clean. He did not infer that the local arms were not clean, but there were such in tihe Dominion, ar.d it had to be stopped. He hoped the old soldiers would stic/ to the work and stiffen the ranks-. General Godley said'ho had read the military history of Taranaki, iand was much impressed bv it.
