TOKIO, May 9. The town of Yamagata is burning, Thousands of houses, including banks, schools, and the law courts have ahead yheen destroyed. (Received May 10, 2 p.m. TOKIO, May 9. Two thousand houses in. Yamragata •city have been burned. Many persons have perished. , Received May 10, 1.10 p.m.) PEKTN, May 9. Half of Kirin. (in Manchuria), principally wooden buildings, has been burned. The destruction is *aid to be immense. ■4 Many persons have perished in the 'flamies.
