THE MINISTERIAL VISIT.
ABBANCEMENTS FOR RECEPTION. The committee of the Masterton District High School met last night. There were present:— Messrs R. Brown (chairman), A. Chapman, A. Hendry, G. Hyde, J. L. Hughes, J. T. .Thompson, and E. H. Waddington. The, Headmaster (Mr W. H. .Jackson) was also present.
The feu sin ess of the meeting was to xn-ake arrangements in connection with the opening of the Museum and •miniature wfle range. 'J lie opening is to take place next Monday, at 2.30 p.m., by the Acting Prime Minister ,(ihe Hon. J. Carroll). The Committee, with the Mayor and Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., will meet the Acting Premier at the railway station, and he will be conveyed to the residence of the Mayor to luncheon. At 1.30 Mr'Carroll will be driven round ' the district, and afterwards taken to the school for the ceremony. After brief addresses by leading townsmen, the Hon. Mr Carroll will be called upon to formally open the Museaim, which will then be thrown open to tli« public. The rifle range will subsequently be opened, the Minister firing the first shot.
