The Rev. A. Hodge, of Masterton, reported at 6 o'clock last night for the previous 24 .hours as follows:—■ Shade temperature: Maximum 64 deg., minimum 34.8deg., mean 49.4 deg. Earth radiation 27deg., showing sdeg. of frost. Earth temperature (Ift) 55.3. Wind almost calm, and. easterly. The fweatlrer lias been fiije so far for the month. No rain; winds gentle and sometimes calm. Thie days for the most part ,have been bright, and the nights frosty, but not severe, 6deg. of fmst being the most registered in one night. The earth temperature has lowered gradually by 4deg. from tihe last day .of April.
