WHO ARE WORKING MEN?

The Wellington Trades Council wants the Government to pravide reduced railway fares and reduced .charges to any working man. who, being ill, wishes to go to the Government sanatoria for treatment. The question at once arises, who are the workingmen? Should the concessions be granted only to members of trades unions? Is not the 'brain-fagged clerk or journalist, who happens to be outside the Union pale, entitled, to consideration? Is the trade unionist the only working man in the community? These questions will doubtless be asked when the promised deputation goes before Ministers.
