THE HOME RULE DELEGATES.
TTo The Editor.'} Sir, — It is reported that, in the course of an interview at Wellington, one of the Irish delegates said: "When the King visits Ireland he is assured of a most hospitable and hearty welcome, but there will not be any «fficial weleome. This is a matter\pf pi-inciple, and principle will departed from." Are we, sir, as a loyal people, justified in receiving with open arms delegates who refuse to recognise our King in his official position ?—I am 1 , etc., BRITISHER. (The delegates m question probably meant to imply that no official recognition of the King would be given until justice is done to Ireland and Home Rule is granted.— Ed. Age.)
