HIGH COMMISSIONER'S OPINION.
THE CONTINENTAL MARKET,
(Received Last Night, 9.35 o'clock.) LONDON, May 3. At a dinner of the Cold Storage Ice Association, Sir William Hall-Jones, High Co'nmissioniT of New Zealand, said he did not believe some of the statements about the mishandling of meat; but if the means of distribution were slightly improved it would be a great advantage to both shippers and sellers. He anticipated that within three years public opinion would force Continental Governments to open their doors to frozen meat. Sir George Reid. High Commissioner for Australia, insisted upon the importanco of the remgerated trade to the teeming millions of Britain.
