THE REFERENDA.

AN INTERESTING COMPARISON. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received May 2, 9.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 2. Mr Holman points out that at the last State elections there were 283,000 Labour votes recorded; whereas there were only 128,000 "Yes" votes for the referenda proposals. It is, therefore, apparent that 106,000 Labour votes were opposed to the referenda, or did not vote on the referenda at all. "It is a significant matter," says Mr Holman, "for the consideration of the Labour leaders." MELBOURNE, May 2. Mr Fisher received the news of the result of the referenda at Port Said.
