Gouldin«:, Unionist .member for Worcester, arid which provides, among other things, for registration and* compelling employers who induce aliens, to enter the country to pay them tho rates of wages provided for by the Trade Boards Act, was read a second time* in the House of Commons. Mr J. Ramsey McDonald, Labour leader and member, for Falkirk Burghs, said the idea of registration was .absolutely alien to the fundamental conceptions of British liberty. The j Labour Party would not agree to a | single line of the Bill. i Mv Winston Churchill (Home SecI retary), said the registration propos- | a'ls were impracticable. ! The Bill was sent to the Grand Committee.
