* [To The Editor.'} Sir,— It was recently stated in the> Age that efforts were being made to secure a Coronation subsidy for Masterton. Can you -fell us what is. the position of affairs, and how far the negotiations have proceeded ?—. I am, etc., KIOSK. (As far as w© can ascertain, the Mayor is still in negotiation in th© matter. It is hoped thai a subsidy . will be obtained on the sum recently raised for the Park.— Ed. Age.)
