THE REFERENDA
THE FINAL RALLIES.
LIBERALS CONFIDENT OF VICTORY. (Received Last Night, 11.15 o'clock.) SYDNEY, April 25. The fiml referenda rallies l6oi-: place to-night. The campaign has been a strenuous and fervid one. It would be difficult to forecast the result, but the general feeling is that whichever way it goes tho majority will not be large. Probably a considerably bigger portion than at the election times, particularly vomen. will abstai'i fro re voting, including a section of Labourites, who, while opposed to lessening the powers possessed by the Sta' e-s, are not prepared to throw th a' weight on the opposite scale. As usual the Labour party is excellently organised. Confident Liberals, who worked extremely hard, believe with the majority of the newspapers that their side are able to carry the day against the referenda. ,
