Besides having. for rears been identified a business directly interested in the importation of machinery., I am Chairman of Directors of the Masterton Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, and am thus concerned in one of the most important of "our exporting industries. . My lontf connection with the Borough Council, the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and other local bodies enables me to appreciate in tlieir fullness the duties and responsibilities pertaining to such offices, and should you do me the honour of returning me as one of your .representatives on the Wellington Harbour Board, I shall use my best efforts to guard your interests and to justify your confidence.— I remain, Yours sincerely, J. HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS. IyVDIES AND GENTLEMEN,— For some years I have had the honour of representing this district, on the Wellington Harbour Board. Under-an Act of last session, representation is increased to two members, who are elected by individual voters within the combined Wairarapa Districts. t , I offer my services as one ot these members. , All good citizens have responsibilities in the administration of our publicly owned works, and the efficiency or otherwise of Harbour facilities have a very direct bearing on the welfare of the primary producing interests of this district. Tho increased responsibility put on country districts in the enlarged representation given by the new Act, calls for increased interest on -our Pa if elected as one of your representatives, I shall deem it an hor.our, and your interests shall, as in the past,* receive my closest attention. CHAS. E. DANIELL. WELLINGTON LAND BOARD ELECTION. TO THE OROWN TENANTS. L ADIES AND GENTLEMEN _■_* Within a few weeks there will be a vacancy on the Land Board, and thinking, as I very strongly do, that there is room 011 the Board ior one directly and closely in touch with the settlers, and remembering that I made a very strong bid at the last election, when quite unknown outside vovir own locality, it will cause no surprise and call for no apology when announcing myself as a candidate for the approaching vacancy. In matters pertaining to land and land settlement I stanfd for all that is good, all that is liberal, all that is progressive, with a whole-hearted and natural sympathy with the pioneering settler. As far as practicable I propose canvassing you pers6nally, and endeavouring to convince you of my usefulness and ability, and hope to inspire your confidence. • Yours respectfully, A. J. JOBLIN. Taibapp, March 31st, 1911.
