NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Meteorological Office this even' ing issued the ljoJowing summary and forecast:— * -
The barometer has fallen everywhere, and very low in the Far 'North. Easterly winds have prevailed, and strong to gale in many parts, but. decreased in ' the North to-day. Heavy rain fell on. the East Coast during the night, and gloomy and showery conditions predominate. Present indications are for rain and stormy weather generally. The rivers are rising over "the North Island, and on the East Coast of the South Island. The winds will probably veer to northerly in the Far North, and increase, and easterly winds strong to gale are probable elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall in aost parts of the country, but rise smartly for a time in the northernmost districts soon.
