Besides having, for years been identified with a business directly interested in the importation of machinery, I am Chairman of Directors of the Masterton Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, and am thus concerned-in one of the moßt important of our exporting industries. My long connection with the Masterton Borough Council, the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and other local bodies enables me to appreciate in their fullness the duties and responsibilities pertaining to such offices, and should you do me the honour of returning me as one or your representatives on the Welhngton Harbour Board, I shall use my best efforts to guard your interests and to justify your confidence.
