AFRICAN MAIL CONTRACTS.
AND STATE-OWNED STEAMERS, y (Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) CAPETOWN, April 20. The Union Senate adopted a motion by Sir Edward Solomons, that the Government should consider the question of providing State-owned steamers, in the event of not obtaining satisfactory' tenders for its mail contract.
