AMALGAMATION OF LABOUR.

The Labour Conference, which is sitting at Christ-church, recognises the futility of attempting to achieve political success whilst the labour forces are divided, and is making a strenuous effort to secure amalgamation with the Miners' Federation. Should this amalgamation eventuate, there is reason to think that the coming elections win be the most interesting that have transpired for many years past.
