SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
The annual School Committee elections take place on Monday evening next. A duty is cast upon householders to see that the care of the school, in which their offspring have to spend years of study, is entrusted to men who have the cause of education thoroughly at heart, 'The duties of School Committees, though not particularly onerous, are certainly important, for upon them devolves not only the responsibility for the efficient upkeep of the school, but the election of members to tho- Education Board to transact the administrative educational work. Masterton and district have heen fortunate in the past in having at their disposal men who take a keen interest in educational work, and it is to be hoped that this happy, condition of affairs will be maintained.
